There are a grand total of 28 achievements in the relaxing simulator called Placid Plastic Duck Simulator and its Quacking the Ice DLC.

There is a brand-new, super relaxing game and DLC called Placid Plastic Duck Simulator, and this game is all the rage on Steam. It has a perfect score of Overwhelmingly Positive with more than 4,000 reviews. The game is the ultimate relaxing video game idle simulation; players can influence the game in any way.

Instead, they can only watch as ducks swim by without being able to influence them at all. This means that, for the most part, the player can't force the achievements to happen. But players still might be wondering just what all the achievements are in this weird little game.

Updated on February 22, 2023, by Mina Smith: Previously, this article covered the base game and two DLCs. But now there is a brand-new DLC available for Placid Plastic Duck Simulator. The new update is called Duck Addiction, and it dropped on February 20th. This update added new interactions, 27 new ducks, and three new achievements for players to collect. In order to keep this article as accurate as possible, it was necessary to add the information for all the updated achievements, how to get them, and what ducks players will need to achieve these trophies.

There are three different easy achievements that are completed just by having some ducks land in the pool; there is an achievement for three ducks, for twenty, then for collecting all the possible base-game ducks. These are:

In this game all about enjoying the little things, there are a grand total of 28 achievements, and 15 of these are base-game event achievements. These are gotten when the game gives players a certain duck, an event happens outside the pool, or a certain duck has something happen to it.

One of the many ducks in this indie game that players can get in their pools in the main game is a momma duck that comes with several little tiny plastic ducklings. Once this duck and her babies drop into the pool, players will get this achievement.

During the night on the pool map, players can sometimes see a shooting star over the pool. This will trigger the "Make a Wish" achievement.

See a video game airplane fly overhead the pool for this goal.

There are a couple of ducks in this immersive sim game that have the ability to do something beyond floating around. One of these is a duck with a spinny hat that can launch him out of the pool and into the ocean like a helicopter. There are other ducks that can get this achievement, but this one seems to be the fastest.

This achievement occurs when a duck slides from the big pool into the smaller pool in this replayable sim game.

There are a couple of ducks that shoot or have flames on them, and several ducks that are super flammable. One of the fire ducks has to catch a flammable duck on fire.

If players are looking out over the ocean, they may see a bunch of ducks going by.

There is a pipe that can suck ducks from the small pool to the big one. The first duck that goes through the pipe will trigger this achievement.

A golf ball will fall from the sky at some point, giving players this achievement.

A little tiny alien ship will come by, stealing a duck or two before disappearing into the night.

There are a handful of ducks that shoot water, including the firefighter duck and the clown duck. One of these two just needs to put an on-fire duck out.

Look out over the water and eventually there will be a cruise ship that goes by. This will trigger the Cruise Ship achievement.

In order to get this achievement, players will need to have both a duck with fire and the firecracker duck. Once the firecracker duck's fuse is lit, it will launch into the heavens and explode into a shower of pretty sparks.

There is both a bee duck and a plant duck. These two must both be in the pool together. Once they get close enough, the bee duck will start to circle the plant duck, triggering the event.

There is a cute-but-creepy stabby duck with a sharp knife that can float around in the pool. If the flamingo floaty gets into the pool with this stabby duck, it can end up with no air in it at the bottom of the pool.

The Quack in the Ice DLC gives players a great excuse to replay this indie game again; there is a whole new map with all new achievments.

When these two magnetic ducks end up in the pool together, they will come to stick together like glue.

When a duck slides down the slide from the upper pool to the ice below, it will trigger this event.

In this amazing little indie simulation game, the little zamboni will push the little ducks into an elevator which releases them back into the upper pool.

A couple of ducks spit fire in Placid Plastic Duck Simulator. If one of them gets close enough to the metal ball in the middle of the pool close to the fireplace, they can light this and heat up the pool.

When players press E in Placid Plastic Duck Simulator, they can move into a sitting position to watch the ducks. In the DLC, there are three positions that E will take them to. One is in the room by the fireplace, the next is outside by the slide, and the third has them looking through the viewfinder near the pool's edge. Once a spinny-hat duck is spawned, it'll fly off to start a campfire. Look through the viewfinders at the duck to earn this achievement.

In this game that's so relaxing, players can listen to a podcast white playing, there is a duck that is frozen in a block of ice above the pool. Wait for a woodpecker to come by, and the bird will eventually knock down this skii-themed duck and dump it into the pool.

This hidden achievement can only be gotten if the little zamboni pushes the puck into one of the goals on the ice.

On February 20, 2023, a new DLC for the quirky game Placid Plastic Duck Simulator dropped, giving players 27 more relaxing ducks to watch. According to the Steam page, it also added:

Sailin' On

During play, a little sailboat with a captain duck on it will appear in the pool.

Players will actually have to interact with the game in order to get this one; it can only be done after the ninja duck has appeared. Everything three minutes or so, the ninja duck will disappear, and it will no longer show up in the roll of ducks if players scroll through them with the tab key. It hides in one of several places for about a minute; players need to locate it. Once it's been spotted in one of these places, click the right mouse button to lock the camera, then use the arrow-shaped pointer to click on the ninja in its hiding place. Once players find it six times, they will get this achievement.

If players are on the other map from the Quack in the Ice DLC, here are the ninja's hiding spots.

There are two new ducks needed for this achievement; players will need to have both the Tron duck and the ghost duck in the pool at the same time. Unfortunately for them, the ghost duck is completely invisible to the naked eye. But if players look at the duck list under collections in the menu, they will see whether or not they have the ghost. They can also see it if they try to tab through all the ducks and find one that is just empty space.

Once the ghost duck is out, players will need to switch to the Tron duck by clicking on it. This will open its scanning mode; if players use tab, it will not open this scan mode. This mode looks like this:

Now, the player will have to stay in scan mode and wait for the ghost duck to swim by, holding still long enough in front of the Tron duck to scan it. This takes a good chunk of time to accomplish most of the time, since the scanning is pretty slow. Thankfully, the ghost is pretty easy to see in this mode.

While all these cozy PC game's achievements are based on just letter the game idle long enough, there is a way to speed things up a little bit. If players are looking to collect all the ducks, they may have noticed how slow the duck meter in the upper right-hand corner fills up the more ducks they get. When the meter starts, it only takes about 2 minutes for the meter to fill, but it gets longer each duck.

In order to speed this up, especially if players are looking for a specific duck or combo of ducks, they can:
